Most founders talk about "finding your niche" like it's a consolation prize, something you settle for once you accept you can't be everything to everyone. I used to think that way too. But a niche isn't a cage. It's a filter, built to let the right people find you and let everyone else walk right past.

Here's the thing about design: everyone has an opinion on it. Your cousin, your neighbor, the guy at the coffee shop; they all know what they like when they see it. And that's fine. That's art being art.

But design isn't art, not exactly.

Art is subjective; design solves a problem.

That's the both/and. Not compromise. Not capitulation. Something better than either option on its own.
